How to Have a Baby without Losing Your Man or Mind
No, I haven’t personally dealt with infertility, but it has affected my life in a BIG way...
I know what it is like to have family and friends struggle to get pregnant and deal with loss.
I know what it is like to be a part of the TTC Support Community. I have been a member since 2009 when I first put in my application to be a surrogate.
I know what it is like to get negative pregnancy tests after fertility treatments. My first surrogate journey I had two BFN after two IVF transfers as a surrogate. Think of all the time, heartache and money this couple had spent to get to this point and I was supposed to be the answer, the professional. That was a hard conversation with the mama…. twice. Of course she was nothing but gracious and deep down I knew that there was nothing I could do other than trust God in the process … Just. Like. You.
I know what it is like to go through infertility treatments. I’ve undergone 5 rounds of IVF, 2 dropped IVF cycles, D&C, hysteroscopies and more.
I know what it is like to spend what can seem like half of your time at fertility clinics and doctors. I know what it is like to be on the hormonal roller-coaster. I can’t even count how many injections I’ve had throughout all my fertility treatments.
I know what it is like to be married. I know what it is like to be married and go through tough times while on the path towards birthing your dream… your God-sized dream. I know what it is like to be married to someone that is different than you. Thinks different. Responds different. Sees things different.
I know what it is like to help couples navigate life, relationships and tough stuff. I know what it is like to be a coach and to get coached. There are times when we have the gift we need in life and other times we need to seek out someone else who does in order to be successful.
I know what it is like to make major life decisions. I know what it is like to know you are supposed to have or do something, but the road is long and hard. I know what it is like to believe God and His promises, but have to build yourself daily to not give in to the doubts or detours.
I know what it is like to feel alone. For people to not get it or get you. I know what it is like to need others, but not want to open yourself up, to become vulnerable, to get hurt. I know what it is like to be the strong one and for people to think you have the perfect life, marriage, and family but you struggle and have problems too.
I know what it is like to be a TTC Cheerleader. It’s a role I have proudly and whole-heartedly assumed. I know what it is like to be a bridge between the fertile and in-fertile worlds. I know what it is like for life to not go as planned. I know what it is like for God to take a mess and turn it into a message. I know what it is like for God to provide the unexpected answer. I know what it is like to have a dream fulfilled. I know what it is like to help birth the dreams of others.

I know your heart is longing for a baby. You’re committed to your dream. You’ve researched, met with doctors, spent time and money trying to conceive.
