In The beginning…

It was 2004… Brian and I had a beautiful 1 year old little girl that completely blessed our world. We had been married for 4 years, I was a full time mom, he was a police officer and we were “ready” for #2. I remember going to church and telling our friends that we were pregnant with #2.

Both pregnancies I became pregnant in the first couple months of trying/not preventing pregnancy. I remember the look on our friend’s face when I said we were pregnant. A mixture of sadness, happiness, pain, and joy all at the same time. You see….they had been married longer, were older than us, trying to get pregnant, and going through infertility treatments.

I remember thinking then…God has given me a gift. I would do that for someone, I would carry their child. I would be a surrogate mom. And so…our journey began.

Today is March 5, 2015. I have since given birth to our 2 beautiful girls, twin boys as a surrogate in 2011, and am currently almost 10 weeks pregnant with another set of twins (boy & girl this time) as a surrogate mom. Throughout the next 30 weeks, I will share stories and experiences from my “Life as a Surrogate Mom”.
