Created to soar
Did you know that EAGLES can fly 120 mph and up to 200+ mph in a jet air stream! They are my husband’s favorite animal and truly amazing! There are many correlations for an eagle and our life. I believe, just like an Eagle, we were created to SOAR!
Eagles thrive in a STORM! The more intense a storm gets, the more determined an eagle gets. An eagle can fly into the 2nd heaven where oxygen is thin & its very cold, above the storms. Delta Pilots have documented flying at 25,000 feet and a salmon or trout has hit their windshield. The air force has determined that it was an eagle that was startled by the plane & dropped its dinner.
Eagles have great VISION! They can see from a mile high in the air to see a rabbit or a squirrel blink. Eagles have a 3rd eyelid that allows them to fly directly into the rays of the sun. When clouds cover the sun, they will focus and fly towards where they last saw the sun.
When you are in a storm, don’t be deterred, be determined! Determine in your mind to keep going. God is the “eye in the storm”… the calm place in the middle of the storm where you will find peace.
Have a vision for your life and focus on Jesus, the Son of God. It’s easy in the midst of the storm to be focused on what is right in front of you. Try to step out of the moment and look at things with a view from above. Try to see the end result. If you don’t know what to do next, continue doing what you last knew to do. Focus your eyes on Jesus. He will give you what you need and be with you each step of the way!
“… those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31
