no baby, not pregnant, but I look like I am! Are you willing to pay the price for your dream?
One of the awkward real life surrogate situations comes after the amazing experience of birthing a baby for another family! Unlike most people after they give birth, as a surrogate you don’t have a beautiful baby with you 24/7 that shows people you just gave birth and have a reason to still look 4-6 months pregnant. Not many people think about this part of being a surrogate and to be honest, there are more sacrifices that are paid to be a surrogate, but most people just see the pregnancy glow, life changing service, and comment about compensation that surrogates receive.
This is true when you look at most people who are “living their dream”, are successful or have or are doing something that you want to do. It is easy to see the results and wonder why you don’t have what they do, but you most often don’t know the price that has been paid for their success. If you knew fully, you may not be willing to pay the price.
“You must be willing to do the things today others don’t do in order to have the things tomorrow others won’t have!” Les Brown
Dave Ramsey puts it like this, “Do today what others won’t, so you can live tomorrow the way others can’t.” The truth is we all have 24 hours in a day. We were all created for greatness and have a God dream, but it will come at a cost. Are you willing to pay the price? Go for it! As my father-in-law says, “You can’t do it any younger!”
When it is God’s Dream through you, the dream IS always worth the price!!!
